King
Abdulaziz University (KAU) took part in a colourful ceremony organized
by the Saudi Cultural Attaché in USA from 24-27 May 2014 to mark the
graduation of the 7th batch of students graduating from US universities
under King Abdullah Scholarship Program.
KAU also participated with a pavilion in a job fair staged
on the sidelines of the event with the aim of recruiting fresh
graduates.
To this end, an upgraded online job application program was
reintroduced by KAU in line with its policy of going paperless. The
program allows scholarship graduates to apply for KAU vacancies and get
updated with the status of their applications without having to go
through the difficult and time-consuming traditional application
process.
KAU was represented in the event by Prof Adnan Zahed, Vice
President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, accompanied by
Dr Adil Al-Ahmadi, Scientific Affairs Supervisor at the Vice Presidency
for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
More than 11,000 Saudi students, who attended bachelor’s,
Master’s and doctoral programs, graduated from various US institutions
this year.
The event was attended by the Saudi Ambassador Adel
Al-Jubeir, who made a tour of KAU pavilion accompanied by Prof Zahed. |
