People Working in the Field of Safety in Universities was inaugurated,
Sunday, by Dr Ahmed ibn Mohammad Al-Saif, Deputy Minister of Education,
in the presence of Prof Abdurrahman Alyoubi, Acting KAU President.
Held under the title of "Occupational and Health Safety in
Higher Education Institutions", the event will deal with a number of
issues pertinent to occupational and health safety, particularly the
latest developments in the area. It also aims to provide sophisticated
techniques developed to deal with occupational and health safety risks
and to deliver pragmatic solutions to them with a view to enable
universities to carry on with their educational and research processes,
while maintaining the highest standards of occupational and health
safety.
Dr Al-Saif stressed that the event was part of the Ministry
of Education's mission of lavishing a great deal of attention on
workplace health and safety with an eye to creating a safe and risk-free
working environment and ensuring the safety and well-being of its staff
and students.
According to Prof Alyoubi, the event is in tune with a Saudi
