Research Endowment Fund celebrates 10th anniversary
The KAU Research Endowment Fund (REF) organized a function, Sunday, at King Faisal Convention Centre to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

The event was attended by Professor Abdurrahman, the Alyoubi Acting President, and a host of intellectuals, businessmen and students.

According to Dr Essam Kawthar, REF Director, the Fund is sponsoring a number of research projects, the most important of which is a research on the root causes that trigger the youth to adopt atheism and terrorism, and another on the ways of early detection of liver cancer.

Other sponsored projects, according to Dr Fouad Mirdad, Assistant to REF Director, include a research on pre-marital examinations, safe driving and paper recycling.

Four students were honoured during the event for not committing any traffic offences during the past four years.
