Scholarship induction programme inaugurated

An
event was held by the Centre for Teaching and Learning Development
(CTLD) to mark the kick-off of a scholarship induction programme for
departing students due to further their higher education abroad on
government-sponsored scholarships.
The event was inaugurated by Dr Ahmed Nagadi, KAU Vice
President for Business and Knowledge Creativity, in the presence of Prof
Adnan Zahed, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific
Research.
Dr Nagadi urged 204 students attending the event to make the
most of their scholarships, acquire interpersonal communication skills,
learn more about the customs and lifestyles of the host countries and
to be real ambassadors for their country.
According to Dr Ahmed A. Owaida, CTLD Director, the
programme will prepare the students for a new life-changing experience
and gain them excellent practice of a body of scientific research
techniques, in addition familiarizing them with potential difficulties
and the necessary steps to overcome them.
The programme includes a number of lectures to be delivered by KAU academics, he also added.
88 male students and 116 female students were registered for the programme, he further added. |
