Sixth Scientific Forum for KAU Students launched

The
SixthScientific Forum for KAU Students was launched Monday at King
Faisal Convention Centre by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb.
The forum's main categories include humanities and social
sciences, engineering and technology, basic and natural sciences, health
sciences and environmental designs.
Additional activities include inventions, entrepreneurship projects, patents and some other art contests.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Prof Tayyeb said the
forum was in tune with KAU's policy of promoting scientific research,
describing it as a great opportunity for the students to present their
research projects and creative ideas in various disciplines.
He also pointed out that the number of submissions to this year's forum had risen by 30% from last year.
He also made a tour of an exhibition held on the sidelines of the event.
According to Prof Adnan Zahed, Vice President for Graduate
Studies and Scientific Research, the event is in maintenance with KAU's
earnest efforts to encourage initiatives, participation and students'
thoughts with an eye to unlock their potential and develop their
research skills.
Dr Abdulghani Mirah, chairman of the forum's organizing
committee, confirmed that over 2500 submissions were made to this year's
forum. |
