Scientific research and innovation is a major focus that helps King Abdulaziz University to achieve its long-term goals that underpin the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. It has become universally recognized that scientific research and innovation is a feasible and long-term investment and a basis for generating new knowledge and for sustaining research knowledge growth.

Recognizing the importance of maintaining the distinguished level in the scientific and research field for its employees, and in order to enhance the directions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz University sought to attract a group of distinguished professors and scholars with the aim of building bridges of cooperation and exchanging experiences with international institutions, prestigious universities and diverse schools by attracting distinguished competencies in Research and scientific innovation to achieve the goal of conducting high-quality and impactful research, in addition to transferring the scientific and research experiences gained from these distinguished minds to the university’s faculty members through the Knowledge Excellence Program, which develops research infrastructure and cooperation with other partners in the scientific research and innovation system.

The Knowledge Excellence Program seeks to advance research and scientific innovation and actively contribute to the development of knowledge, excellence and leadership in scientific research and creativity in the development of society. Developmental proposals to advance the scientific and research quality of the university in accordance with the approved strategic plan for King Abdulaziz University to become one of the world’s academic and research universities in a way that contributes to stimulating research, knowledge production, social and economic development, and the participation of the public and private sectors.
